Namco Launches Scene It? Movie Edition

Namco has released “Scene It? Movie Edition”. With well over a thousand questions related to movies, this is one of the biggest movie related quiz games around. The game originated from DVD. In the conversion they picked out the top categories from the original.

Interviews are all over as MobileIndustry released their interview with Gameloft’s Gonzague de Vallois, vice president of marketing at the French mobile games giant. In the interview, Gonzague explains the success of the company and the recent moves to 3D.

I-Play wins Best Made for Mobile Game

At the 3GSM awards yesterday night, I-play was honored with the best Made for Mobile Game Award 2007. They won the award for The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo. The jury praised the game for its playability and intuitive design. Congratulations I-play! And on to the International Mobile Game Awards that are being held in about three hours from now.

EIDOS Mobile Takes Off

In a press release we just received, EIDOS clearly shows 2007 will be the year where they will take mobile gaming serious. With several games already on the market, EIDOS plans to have nearly every console release joint by a mobile game version. To do this, EIDOS has upscaled its development team. besides upscaling, the release did not hold much news actually.

TimeLapse Mobile Partners with BMG Music Publishig

San Francisco based publisher TimeLapse Mobile has announced a deal with BMG Music Publishing to include information and music from BMG artists in mobile games. The first game to roll out on this deal is the Bodacious 80’s Challenge, a music quiz game for mobile phones.

3GSM: Glu Shows Upcoming Mobile Games

Yesterday at 3GSM, Glu showed their upcoming titles for this year. The star of the show was the Transformers mobile game which they only showcased at a private viewing. Also, Glu showed their Windows Mobile and Symbian line-up for this year. With this line-up, Glu also shows the interest for decent smartphone games are highly wanted by consumers and operators.

3GSM: I-Play to Bundle Games

In our CGA coverage last week, we discussed how much the female public loves bargains when shopping for entertainment. Now, I-play announced to follow in this emotional state by creating 2-4-1 versions of their games to increase the value.
