If rumours are right, Take Two might get to be acquired by market leader Activision. The acquisition would bring the successful Rockstar Games label under Activision’s control.
Earlier this week, Activision announced it has halted development of the True Crime series that competes with the dominating Grand Theft Auto series from Rockstar Games. In 2008, EA tried to acquire Take Two Interactive, but that failed. Take Two is profitable, even without the Rockstar games.
