After a diss from former EA founder Trip Hawkins at GDC this year and several rumors made public at MoCoNews lately, EA Mobile started replacement of Mitch Lasky by Michael Marchetti according to several sources.
Michael Marchetti now officially has the title of SVP and General Manager of Mobile within EA and reports directly to EA’s CEO John Riccitello. Michael is just like Mitch a piece of heritage from the purchase of Jamdat by EA in 2005. Michael has served as the COO for EA Mobile after the acquisition while he was CFO for Jamdat.
Mitch however is setting out his new career in Silicon Valley where he will work for VC firm Benchmark Capital to aid them with their mobile strategies.
