iPod Mobile Games Hacked

May 29th, 2007 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: J2me | 1 Comment »

Apple For all those that are waiting to explore development of iPod games but don’t get a license, there is a chance as some guys managed to open up the black box.

At this forum, hackers describe how to install an old firmware version in order to play downloaded mobile iPhone games. Of course, we do not promote playing games illegally, but to developers that want to explore Apple’s system for their own creativity, this might be a nice entry.

The only positive thing about developing for iPod is using Apple’s distribution system.. without that, you can do alot better on any of the current mobile phones out there.
I think Nokia+Sony sell as much mobile phones a month as Apple has sold iPod’s in last few years. And don’t have to hack your way on to those platforms.
