MyNseries Gives Nokia the French Twist

July 11th, 2007 by Anonymous Blogger Posted in Distribution | No Comments »

StreamezzoStreamezzo has closed a deal with Nokia France to include their on device portal technology pre-installed on all French Series 60 devices, expanding the possibilities of the Nokia Content Discoverer (NCD).

Nokia_2The on-device portal allows consumers to get access to the latest mobile games, video and other entertainment. The portal, which is developed by Streamezzo, is based on the Nokia Content Discoverer, but adds a few new tricks. One of them is constant syncing to the general catalogue server to make sure consumers always see the latest content.

“We are excited to be a part of this major enhancement to the Mobile Internet. With  MyNseries, our mobile multimedia devices become the perfect Mobile 2.0 platform for user communities, user generated content and other rich multimedia experiences,” said Laurent David, director of multimedia for Nokia France.

“Given the challenge of designing and developing a complete technology platform for Nokia’s incredibly diverse global user base, we entered into this relationship with several key strategic goals,” said Alain Blancquart, CEO for Streamezzo. “Our engineers were chartered with creating the industry’s most compelling and instinctive end-user experience, offering access to the broadest possible array of applications. And we knew we must design for a global and highly flexible technology environment, with ubiquitous and seamless access to the latest in Internet technologies. We look forward to an aggressive evolution of this platform and continued collaboration with Nokia on a global scale.”
