Nokia Announces ‘1’ Maemo Phone for 2010

December 1st, 2009 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: MeeGo | 1 Comment »

Nokia Though Nokia announced Maemo as replacement OS for its high end handsets (and so, replacing Symbian), the company has revealed toward Reuters that it will release only one Maemo phone in 2010.

A Reuters journalist picked this news up from a source within Nokia. With the release history of the N800, N810 and N900 and the ownership over Symbian in mind, this rumor wouldn’t be that strange. It does mean however that developers will have a hard time recouping their investments on the platform.
