Smartphones Ideal for Mobile Gaming

MagmicMagmic Games carried out a survey with clients in their network about mobile gaming quality. 90% of the consumers said that smartphones offer a better experience than other models.

Buyers of a smartphone seem to get hooked to the technological advantages. 91% of the smartphone owners said not willing to switch back to a more simple mobile phone. The screensize, controls and easy of downloading are important factors to smartphone owners.

More than 50% of the smartphone owners said they play more on their smartphone than any other gaming device they own. 65% has bought a mobile game or other piece of content every three months. 60% said they prefer playing casual mobile games like Tetris and Sudoku.

“This survey speaks volumes about the powerful riptide smartphone and BlackBerry devices are creating in the mobile entertainment market,” said Nicholas Reichenbach, executive vice president of publishing for Magmic Games. “The results suggest that positive entertainment experiences on devices are a critical factor in product adoption and loyalty. As a result, it is important for mobile carriers, OEMs and entertainment publishers to continue efforts to offer compelling entertainment products to mobile customers.”

The Magmic survey was conducted by the Information Solutions Group and attracted 3,750 entries.
