Bloomsix Launches

January 8th, 2008 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Companies & M&A | No Comments »

A new company enters the world of mobile gaming as Bloomsix launches in Amsterdam.

Bloomsix is a new division of Insomiq and focussed on mobile/handheld, console and PC gaming. The first game should launch in Q2 2008.

Bloomsix addresses key market barriers with its seemingly simple corporate philosophy. Bart Verschoor explained: "Instead of porting existing genres to a platform it does not belong to, we design games that make sense for the specific audience and platform we’re developing for. Expect to see games that utilize handhelds to the fullest in ways you may not have deemed possible before".

"There’s a growing demand for rich content in the mobile space. Carriers and publishers are realizing the importance of the mobile games market. We aim to achieve hyper growth in the number of users
and plan to retain customers by building strong, unique IP and breakthrough game designs", Joris Verschoor added.
