When released in May, the Nokia Ovi store will be offering mobile games from the N-Gage platform according to Tero Ojanpera, who was interviewed by Reuters at the GDC in San Fransisco.

Ovi will be listing only a selection of the N-Gage games as Nokia is planning to keep N-Gage alive as separate, specialist, sales channel. The Ovi store will also be filled with non-N-gage games. This way, N-Gage will still differentiate itself toward hardcore gamers.

"We'll make those N-Gage games, from the discovery point of view, available through the Ovi store," said Ojanpera. "What we are trying to do with the Ovi store is, rather than having all these different channels for discovery, we'll move more and more under this Ovi brand and umbrella."

On opening, Ovi will be made available toward 50 million consumers whereas Apple is still at 20 million. Just like Apple, Nokia will give 70% of the revenues to the developers if consumers pay via creditcard. For operator billing, developers will earn less according to the interview.
