Zeemote has announced their Zeemote Ready Developers Contest 2009. Established and independent publishers and developers are encouraged to submit Zeemote Ready mobile games to win $10,000 in cash as well as the opportunity to have their games delivered to customers around the world.

To qualify for the contest, developers have to use the Zeemote SDK to create a new game or modify an existing game title. Developers can find additional contest details at www.zeemote.com/contest.

“2008 was an extremely successful year for Zeemote and we have lots of people to thank for such fantastic growth, especially our developer partners who created many innovative Zeemote Ready game titles to deliver the World’s Best Mobile Gaming Experience,” said Ernie Cormier, CEO, Zeemote. “Our goal in 2009 is to continue to advance the revolution in mobile gaming by delivering even more Zeemote Ready titles to gamers.  This contest empowers our developers to take Zeemote Ready Games to the next level by taking full advantage of the Zeemote JS1’s unique capabilities such as analogue controls or the ability for simultaneous multiplayer gaming.”

A panel of industry veterans and members of the media will judge the contest, and the winners will be announced on August 17th, 2009.  The winners will be selected and awarded:
– Grand Prize: $7,500 Cash Prize and a shot at game distribution
– 2nd Prize: $2,500 Cash Prize and a shot at game distribution
– Finalists will have their games introduced to partners for a shot at game distribution
