iPhone to Sell in China

July 28th, 2009 by Arjan Olsder Posted in 1 | No Comments »

Apple The speculation is over. Apple has signed a deal with one of China's biggest operators, China Unicom, to bring the iPhone to their market. This will certainly increase Apple's overall market share.

China Unicom is the second biggest network in China. China Unicom is rolling out their new 3G network and the iPhone is an excellent device to promote it toward consumers. The network is expected to sell at least 1 million iPhones a year. This means they have to sell an iPhone toward at least 0.8% of their customers every year.
