LG Launches App Store

LG has officieally opened up their Applications Store for consumers. As the store is still in Beta, it launched ‘only’ in 23 countries excluding the United States and most of Europe.

The store is targeting both feature- and smartphonesfrom the vendor and holds about 3.000 apps. LG users with Android are however out of luck as Android support will not arrive until the end of this year. When the store is finalized, it will roll out in at least 10 more countries.

To meet this growing demand, we’ve put a great deal of effort into strengthening our application offerings for all types of phone owners,” said Mr. H.S Paik, President of LG Electronics Gulf FZE. “By studying customer insights and collaborating with top-level companies, LG is working to produce some of the best applications on the market, and a truly singular mobile experience for our customers.”
