OrangePixel Releases Rumblex 2.0

The guys at OrangePixel have spend some serious time to refresh their Rumblex platform. The Rumblex platform is an open connected platform which is free to join by mobile developers all over the world. The latest version moves closer to what we all know from platforms like Xbox Live, with achievement awards, messaging and in game purchases. The full details are in the press release below.
Player X Releases Lyric EMI

Player X has set up a new range of mobile games called Lyric EMI. The game is based on the Hangman principle and includes famous lyrics from EMI artists around the globe like Queen, Scissor Sisters and Sting. Player X will release an undisclosed number of mobile games in the series.
Herocraft Releases Sex Xonix

Herocraft announced the release of Sex Xonix. Sex Xonix is a snake like mobile game where you need to trap your enemy in a small space. It reminds me of the good old Pamela Anderson game, once released by Elkware.
Magmic Releases Miner 2049er

Magmic has anounced to release the 80’s classic Miner 2040er in the US and Japan. The game was a huge hit in the 80’s in those regions. The game received a graphic boost, but the classic gameplay remained untouched.
Empire Interactive Releases Pipemania (Trough THQ)

Empire Interactive has announced the release of their 1989 arcade classic Pipemania. The game has been imitated on a lot of platforms and games since its release. To make sure the game is released fast enough, Empire Interactive has struck a deal with THQ Wireless for distribution.

Universomo Inks SEGA Development Deal

According to our friends over at QB, Universo has stroke a deal with SEGA to develop several mobile game titles. This news follows closely on the Rockpool acquisition by EIDOS. Rockpool has also been developing several SEGA mobile games. For Universomo, the year couldn’t have started better.

Nokia’s Newest Patent, The Mobile Joystick

Nokia has patented a new joystick design for mobile. To make mobile games better to play, consumers should pull out their stylus from their phones and insert it right into the d-pad. Personally I don’t see it happening, but who knows 🙂
