And the spot is pretty much exclusive. Yes, though several mobile companies managed to get into the individual listings, Player X is the only mobile games company that got in the global Red Herring 100 Awards.

The Red Herring editorial team deploys a detailed process to whittle down a pool of 600 eligible, promising companies. Evaluations are made on quantitative and qualitative criteria, such as financial performance, innovation, management, global strategy, and ecosystem integration.

Red Herring 100 winners and finalists from North America, Europe and Asia of the last three years are eligible for this coveted award.

“We are understandably honoured to receive the Red Herring 100 Global recognition. This is a great start to 2009 and augurs well for the rest of the year,” said Tony Pearce, Player X CEO.
