THQ Restructures

June 24th, 2009 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Companies & M&A | No Comments »

Thq-wireless Following the move to limit wireless development to the iPhone platform, THQ has announced to reorganize their total company structure in a way similar to that of EA.

Within the new structure, there will be three business units that concern game development and publishing and support THQ's product strategy. This means that partners will be working with THQ Core Games (headed by Danny Bilson), THQ Kids, Family and Casual Games (headed by Doug Clemmer) and THQ Online (headed by Steve Dauterman). Each unit reports directly to CEO Brian Farrell.

“The new structure specifically aligns our primary business units with our product strategy, enabling each team to focus on planning and execution in highly defined product areas with full profit and loss responsibility,” said Brian Farrell, president and CEO, THQ. “I look forward to working directly with Danny, Doug, Steve and Ian to execute on our focused strategic plan.”

As for THQ Wireless, this division will now be part of  THQ Kids, Family and Casual Games.
