Vodafone has released a new ‘all you can eat’ Android game service for its clients. The service is subscription based and will cost the consumer €5 a month.
For this amount of money, consumers can freely download a big chuck of Android apps and games from Vodafone’s 360 Android Store. This store is already embedded in 20 Android based handsets from the operator. When consumers choose to end the service, they will lose access to their mobile games via Vodafone’s own DRM service.
Publishers that provide content to the service will be paid based on the number of games that are being downloaded and played, meaning shitty games will hardly bring any revenues. The service is released at Vodafone operators all over Europe.
