April 14th, 2009 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: AndroidOS | No Comments »

Android The new version of Android (which is named CupCake) will offer both consumers and developers a host of new features for their devices. Developers can already get their hands on a preview of the SDK.

Through the new API’s, developers will gain access to the keyboard, a widget platform, speech recognition and live folders (they cache internet content). Do mind that you need to install a new eclipse plugin.

The new Android 1.5 version will also support a newer webkit based browser, with a new javascript engine. This update should speed up the browser.
