MonsterMob goes on discount

MonsterMob has been starting to offer discount games at 1,50 UKP. The budget range kicks of with 15 simple non branded games.
"We’re really excited about this launch," said Matt Meads, MobGames manager. "We hope to see mobile gaming establish itself amongst the mainstream platforms during the next couple of years. There are some great games out there, and we’re confident that once consumer awareness grows, mobile gaming will really take off. Hopefully the MobGames value range will encourage gamers to experiment," he added.

Our friends at QB found in one of the latest NDP Group studies, the results of why certain age groups are triggered into buying a mobile game.
“Those aged 13-17 cited free trials as the biggest factor, 18 to 24 year olds said they were influenced by game title, adults in the 25 to 34 category cited positive reviews, and consumers 35 and older cited price as their top rationale.”
Mark Ollila from TelcoGames to Nokia

Today we found an email saying Mark Ollila, who you all probably know from TelcoGames, is now picking up an executive role in Nokia’s gaming department.
"Joining Nokia during the final strategic developments of Nokia’s next generation mobile games platform launch is a unique challenge – where new social and connected technology benchmarks and consumer experiences are being delivered for the first time to the mobile entertainment market," Ollila commented. It’s these kinds of progressive developments that form new cultures and greater opportunities for our industry, which I am delighted to be involved in."
