Fishlabs Heads to the Zeebo

October 4th, 2009 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: Brew | No Comments »

Fishlabs Fishlabs has announced that it will be starting up development of games for the Zeebo platform. The first mobile game that will be ported to the bigger screen will be Galaxy on Fire.

The porting of the game should not be that hart for the company given the fact that the console runs on Qualcomm's Brew platform. Unlike the handheld consoles, the Zeebo portfolio isn't stuffed yet which means the company has a good chance at selling their games on the platform.

“A Fishlabs game will appear on a console for the very first time with Galaxy on Fire on the Zeebo. This development proves that we have more than met our quality requirement of developing high-quality mobile games with a console feeling,” says Michael Schade, CEO of FISHLABS Entertainment. “Thanks to the Zeebo opportunity, with its unbeatable price-performance ration and the download over the 3G network, high-quality video games can now be introduced in growth markets such as Brazil.”

“Galaxy on Fire from Fishlabs is one of the few mobile brands which has succeeded in holding its own across platforms,” comments Mike Yuen, SVP of content & services for Zeebo, Inc. “With its deep game play and cool 3D graphics, this action game is a welcome addition to our catalog of games, and we look forward to consumers enjoying many hours of fun with it.”
