Connect2Media has signed a deal with Fox Mobile Distribution to distribute multiplayer World Poker Tour (WPT) Texas Hold ‘Em 2 in EMEA, SE Asia and Latin America.
The game series' success was marked with more than 19 million hands played since the game’s launch in July 2007. Now consumers everywhere will be able to download and play WPT Texas Hold ‘Em 2 regardless of what network they use.
“The World Poker Tour TV show is broadcast globally so there will be a high level of brand recognition for WPT Texas Hold ‘Em 2,” said Kaj Hagros, COO at Fox Mobile Distribution. “We are delighted to be working with Connect2Media to distribute WPT Texas Hold ‘Em 2 and we expect staggering levels of downloads. Also, this is the first time we opened up our application wrapper and rental/subscription APIs to content partners, which is a key step in accelerating content intake as per our open platform strategy”.
