Over at the Mobile World Congress in Spain, mobile games publisher Gameloft has announced that the company has managed to sell over two hundred million mobile games since the start in 2003.
MWC: Zeemote Promotes “Mobile Console Gaming”

Over at the Mobile World Congress, Zeemote is promoting what they call the next significant step in Mobile-Console Gaming, or MCG. This means combining a TV-out based phone and one or two Zeemotes for a home console experience.

Vodafone Essar (the Vodafone branch located in India) has announced that platform provider End2End will be their exclusive platform provider for their mobile games portal.

Midway Files for Chapter 11

Though Midway had just been sold a few months back and recently announced their iPhone games, the (mobile) games publisher has filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection late last week.
MWC: SonyEricsson Takes Entertainment Unlimited Proposition on Content

SonyEricsson has launched a new content initiative called Entertainment Unlimited. This new content proposition should enable the company to compare with Nokia's Ovi services and Apple's App Store.

It was to be expected, but just before the week of the Mobile World Congress 2009 starts, Google is opening it's payment options to mobile game developers and publishers in the UK and the US.
