With the Palm Pre reaching the end of it's shelf life in the US (It's been there for months already). Palm announced their second WebOS based phone called the Pixi.
C64 Emulator Removed

Though we where happy to report that the C64 emulator from Kiloo and Manomio had finally been approved by Apple, it has now been removed from the App Store as there was a way for consumers to access BASIC in it.

Greystripe Raises Another $2 Million

Greystripe has completed their third round of financing. During this round, the company secured $2 million from the Peacock Equity Fund, a fund from General Electric's and NBC Universal.

Developer GameShastra has (accidentally) revealed the price points for Sony's PSP Minis service. As expected, they are set to compete directly with the app store and so, are lower than those of DSIware.

Breaking: Palm Leaks WebOS 1.2

Palm has leaked version 1.2 of their WebOS toward consumers. 2.1 allows Palm to remove software and consumers to complete purchases directly from the device.
Turner Signs Brands to GlobalFun and Kiloo

Turner Broadcasting has signed a three year EMEA distribution deal with GlobalFun to bring their brands to the J2me markets. At the same time, Kiloo scoops Ben10 for non-gaming content.
AppsFire: iPhone Consumers Spend $80,-

A recent survey from US based AppsFire amongst 1.200 consumers shows that they have downloaded 65 applications and games on average, spending about $ 80,- on them.
Verizon App Store Backed by 1K Developers

Being the biggest operator in the US clearly has it's advantages. Since Verizon announced that the company wanted to do an App Store, 1.000 developers and publishers have signed up for it.
