The speculation is over. Apple has signed a deal with one of China's biggest operators, China Unicom, to bring the iPhone to their market. This will certainly increase Apple's overall market share.

This weekend, Google released their newest Alpha version of the Android OS. This one is called Donut and follows on their CupCake release (version 1.5).
Palm Alignes SDK and OS at v1.1

Palm has updated their WebOS firmware to version 1.1. This is in-line with the Mojo SDK version 1.1 build 12 which was released on the same day. This makes testing of apps a lot more easy for developers.
Microsoft Plans In-Store WM Promotions

Most of you have probably read that Microsoft plans to open it's own stores to compete with Apple (various sources reported on it). Their store concept has leaked on the internet and it seems like Windows Mobile is one of the products which will be promoted in those stores.

Recently, Fishlabs released their Barclaycard Waterslide Extreme advertgame on the Ap Store. Within the first 5 days, the game was downloaded 2 million times and the company gathered some interesting demographics from it.

Gbanga Goes Beta

Gbanga is a new framework for creating mobile LBS games. The system just went Beta in Switzerland and the first game to test it has been rolled out in Zurich where consumers are now hunting animals.
