Pocket Gamer has an interesting rumour on their website. It seems that SonyEricsson has made a deal with GestureTek in order to use their technologies to enable motion gaming on older handsets.

In order for mobile games to go forward, EA Mobile thinks devices need to open up more. Low level access to functionality would allow better and more interactive mobile gaming experiences.

At the BREW 2008 conference, Qualcomm announced the winners of the seventh prestigious BREW Developer Awards. Within two mobile game awards, there was just one winner.

Following in Apple’s footsteps, Google announced to be opening up an official Android sales channel as well. The big difference is, it won’t be the exclusive way to go for content.
TurboGrafx Games on iPhone

Hackers succeeded in porting the TurboGrafx 16 PC engine to the iPhone. Needless to say, you need a jailbreaked iPhone in order to get it running.
The Saints Score PopVox New Media Award

Dutch mobile game developer The Saints Content Creators has won a Canadian PopVox New Media Award for Best Mobile Game with their mobile GPS football game called NavBall.

The guys over at QuicklyBored seem to have a wonderful time down at Brew 2008. Yesterday, the crew bumped in to a couple of Mobile Gaming Seniors and started interviewing them.
