Apple Pro Bush?

February 9th, 2009 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: iOS | 2 Comments »

Apple
We came across an interesting story over at Pocket Gamer. It tells about a Pakistani developer who's mobile game was not allowed to launch on the App Store because it was mocking George Bush.

As you might expect from the description, it's a shoe throwing game where the consumer can target the former president of the USA. Apple responded toward the developer by saying;

"We cannot post this version of your iPhone application to the App Store because it contains content that ridicules public figures."

As Spanner writes on PG, there are plenty video's available on iTunes which mock the White House as well (i.e. South Park). So it's a bit hypocritical to hold back these kinds of mobile games.
